HISTORIC FARMHOUSE KITCHEN | WALPOLE, MASSACHUSETTS

A kitchen renovation on one of the oldest homes in Walpole.

 A poorly executed renovation done by previous owners, left this 1790’s farmhouse kitchen poorly laid out, and historically inappropriate. Working with Julie Sheridan of design 2 order, we simplified the overall layout of the kitchen by creating a work-wall with all the appliances allowing us to increase the size of the island.  We reused and showcased materials salvaged from the demolition and other historic properties. Instead of hiding the pantry, we featured it by accentuating the wall with shiplap and adding a custom sliding door. We also installed a  custom hidden basement door.
